More than 100 applications from various regions of Russia were submitted to participate in the project. The winners of the competitive selection were five authors who share an interest in science, the art & science movement, and a desire to create new works together with researchers.

The theme of the residency is “Boundaries of Vulnerability: Designing a New Biosphere.” The participants explore how humans, society, and living systems change under the influence of technology, science, and the environment.

Within the framework of the laboratory, artists will have meetings with scientists, lectures, and excursions to research laboratories, as well as consultations and creative practice. In the final part of the residency, viewers will see five art objects that explore scientific topics through the unique creative vision of the authors.

The final exhibition will become a space where cutting‑edge medical research meets artistic exploration, revealing new meanings to the audience and offering a fresh perspective on science.
