What happens after receiving a diploma? What does the first stage of a doctor’s career look like, how does practice in a clinic differ from work in a hospital, and how to choose a field in which you really want to develop?

Pirogov University will host a panel discussion titled “What will you become when you graduate?” as part of the #SoftLab project of the Training Center of Pirogov University.

 The main participants in the meeting will be the university’s graduates. They will share their own experience of professional development and talk about how a young doctor’s work is structured — from the first steps in the profession to combining work with further training.

The discussion will focus on issues that many students and novice professionals face:

• what are the differences between the work of an outpatient doctor and practice in a hospital, and what tasks and specific features each format has;
• what awaits a doctor during the residency period and how realistic it is to combine training with work;
• how to determine a professional direction and choose a specialty in which one wants to build a career.

The meeting format предполагает an open dialogue, so participants will have the opportunity to ask their questions to those who have already made the transition from student audience to practical medicine and continue to develop in their profession.
