The shift was started by a creative opening dedicated to the Year of Unity of the Peoples of Russia. Then there was a lecture on future competencies in healthcare, as well as an open dialogue with students of Pirogov University "Truth or myth?", where they could talk about their studies, profession and student everyday life.

Practical training has taken a special place in the program. At the master classes on surgery and traumatology-orthopedics, schoolchildren learned how to apply surgical sutures and plaster casts, got acquainted with the basics of cardiology and electrocardiography, and understood the issues of blood and bone marrow donation. The program also included a lecture by a forensic medical expert, a thematic quest with riddles in the field of forensic medicine and the defense of their own projects in the framework of the MedProsvet workshop.

There were also some new experiences outside the University. The participants visited the Timiryazev State Biological Museum and joined the events dedicated to the 65th anniversary of the first human spaceflight.

During the first half of the shift, the students not only gained new knowledge and practical skills, but also were able to feel the atmosphere of the medical University, meet like-minded people and take another step towards a conscious choice of a future profession. 

New discoveries, meetings and opportunities await them, which will make the "University shifts" even more memorable.
