The high assessment was a confirmation of the effective work of the University's Sports Club, the development of student sports and the creation of conditions in which sports become an important part of university life.

Today, the Pirogov University Sports Club unites 27 sports fields — from basketball, badminton and sambo to rowing, chess and a Tourist Club. Every year, athletes take part in more than 100 competitions at various levels, where they regularly become winners and prize-winners, including the championships of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

The development of sports infrastructure, modern training grounds and consistent work to promote a healthy lifestyle make it possible to involve more and more students and University staff in sports.

The golden status is a recognition of the high level of organization of sports activities, the quality of implemented projects and the significant contribution of the Pirogov University Sports Club to the development of student sports.
