Alina Samitova, a junior researcher at the Laboratory of Genomics at Pirogov University, took second place in the nomination "Best research in the field of disease prevention."
The work "The latest PTA amplification method for advanced preimplantation genetic testing for monogenic diseases" (BMC Genomics), dedicated to the development of modern genetic technologies aimed at improving the prevention of hereditary diseases, was highly appreciated by the expert jury.
Vera Belova, a researcher at the Laboratory of Genomics at Pirogov University, also became a finalist in the competition.
Pirogov University's participation in the PREVENTMED'26 forum contributes to the development of scientific cooperation, the promotion of innovative research in the field of preventive medicine and the strengthening of the University's position as one of the leading centers of biomedical science.
