Olga Milushkina, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs, made an introductory speech and a report on healthy nutrition, noting that such scientific conferences allow young scientists to study with leading experts and gain the most up-to-date knowledge about human metabolic health.

The leading experts of Pirogov University presented their reports. Antonina Starodubova, Head of the Department of Faculty Therapy at ICM, spoke about the risk factors for cardiovascular diseases at a young age, Professor Igor Nikitin, Head of the Department of Hospital Therapy named after Academician G.I. Storozhakov at ICM, presented up-to-date data on metabolically associated steatous liver disease.

The experts also reviewed various aspects related to metabolic health, including the basics of a healthy diet, socially significant nutritional-related diseases, and the role of therapeutic nutrition. An important part of the discussion was the report on obesity and prediabetes, the physiological fluctuations of glycemia in healthy individuals and modern approaches to drug treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes, including in geriatric patients, were discussed.

The conference ended with a competition of scientific papers by young Pirogov University researchers on the topic "Metabolic health", who presented to the jury their research on key aspects of metabolic health, such as acute pancreatitis, assessment of the prevalence of eating disorders in patients with metabolic disorders, etc.

The winners of the competition were awarded diplomas, and all participants were wished further development in the scientific field.
