Established in 2022 as an intra-university initiative, the League has grown in a short time into an interregional platform bringing together teams of medical universities from all over the country. In the 2025-2026 season, bands from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Volgograd, Samara, Krasnodar, Krasnoyarsk and Ufa performed on the stage of Pirogov University.

The season finale was the highlight of the game year. In the intense struggle, the teams demonstrated a high level of training and stage culture. According to the results of the final, the prizes were distributed as follows:

1st place — "Turn out the light", 57 points (RGSU)
2nd place — "The doctors arrived", 56 points (KrasSMU)
3rd place — "They could have done better", 54 points (Pirogov University)

The final traditionally brought together a full house of students, teachers and graduates. The lively reaction of the audience, the active support of the teams and the professional evaluation of the jury confirmed the high level of the project.

The KVN Placebo Medical League is being implemented by the Culture and Creativity team at Pirogov University with the participation of the head of KVN Hovhannes Broyan. The League's editor—in-chief is Igor Kim, captain of the RUDN University KVN team, semi-finalist of the KVN Major League and finalist of the Premier League.

Placebo is not just a student game, but an interregional platform of medical humor, where teamwork, public speaking and leadership skills are developed — qualities that are important for future doctors.

The fifth anniversary season is ahead. The project continues to develop, strengthening the status of Pirogov University as a center of attraction for the medical KVN movement in Russia.
