Talent search: Pirogov University hosted the Olympiad in General Psychology

On the basis of the Department of General Psychology and Developmental Psychology of the Pirogov University, the Lazursky National Council of General Psychology organized and conducted the main stage of the IV National Scientific and Practical Student Olympiad in General Psychology, the main purpose of which was to promote progress in psychological education, as well as identify and support the most talented and promising students.

Vera Nikishina, Director of the ICPSR of Pirogov University, made an introductory speech, noting that general psychology is the foundation of the profession of a psychologist.

"This is the base on which everything else is built. Without a solid foundation, it is impossible to build a "great building" of professional activity," Vera Nikishina emphasized.

Students completed assignments of varying complexity on key methodological approaches, scientific schools, and the history of the development of psychological thought. After that, they began to solve a practical task aimed at activating and evaluating the ability to analytically and creatively solve professional problems.

The participants of the Olympiad also attended master classes on the group art therapy technique "Resource Wall" and practical skills from the Laboratory of Practical Skills of the ICPSR.

The Olympiad ended with a solemn ceremony at which all participants received certificates and memorable prizes.
