How children's medicine is changing in Moscow: a conversation about technology, doctors and the future of healthcare

As part of the "Series of lectures by leading scientists on the problem of perinatology and pediatrics", a meeting on the topic "Moscow Children's Healthcare: achievements and prospects" was held at Pirogov University. The conversation turned out to be really lively and at the same time strategic - about how the system of assistance to children in Moscow is organized today and where it is moving next.

The lecture was delivered by Ismail Osmanov, Chief physician of the Z.A. Bashlyaev State Clinical Hospital. The speaker stressed that a modern system is not only technology and infrastructure, but also the high responsibility of each specialist. According to him, the Moscow healthcare model today combines accessibility, digitalization and a strong human resource base, creating conditions in which the development of a doctor becomes an ongoing process.

The audience was greatly interested in examples of digital solutions, from an electronic medical record to a smart hospital system, where the patient receives more transparency and hospital selection options.

Specialized care centers, the preventive model of pediatrics, early detection of diseases and work with risk groups were also discussed. Ismail Osmanov noted that today the key task remains to shift the focus of the system towards prevention and early intervention.

At the end of the meeting, the expert emphasized the special need to attract young professionals.: "The system becomes stronger when motivated and trained doctors come to it."

The lecture was not only an overview of the achievements of Moscow healthcare, but also a conversation about the future of the profession, with an emphasis on digital technologies, teamwork and a new culture of medical responsibility.
