Precision, logic, confidence: students of Pirogov University are winners of the Olympiad in forensic medicine

Students of the Institute of Motherhood and Childhood of Pirogov University, under the mentorship of the Acting Director of the Institute of Human Biology and Pathology (IBHR), Head of the Department of Forensic Medicine named after P. Minakov IBHR, MD, Professor Evgeny Kildyushov and head of the Council of People's Commissars, PhD, Associate Professor of the Department of Forensic Medicine named after P. Minakov IBHR Eduard Tumanov, took part in The III All-Russian Youth and Student Olympiad in Forensic Medicine "The role of a specialist in solving problems of forensic medical examination", which was held at Omsk State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.

The Olympiad included three competitive tests: representing the University, solving situational problems, and interrogating an expert in a simulated court session. This format required not only deep knowledge, but also concentration, confident command of professional terminology and the ability to make quick decisions.

According to the results of all stages, the Tres Cerae team consisting of Alexandra Gudymovich, Anna Duktovskaya and Maria Kondratenko took the first place. Teams from Omsk State Medical University of the Russian Ministry of Health, Novosibirsk State Medical University and Siberian Law University also participated in the Olympiad.

The team prepared for the presentation together with the teaching staff of the P. Minakov Department of Forensic Medicine of the IBHR: at theoretical and practical meetings, participants deepened their knowledge of the procedural foundations of forensic medical examination and analyzed complex cases from practice.

Congratulations to the Tres Cerae team on their well-deserved victory and thank the Department of Forensic Medicine and Law of Omsk State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation for the opportunity to participate in this significant event, a warm welcome and a truly friendly atmosphere.
