This time, delegates from all over the world focused on the boundary between human treatment and improvement and the impact of biotechnology, neurotechnology and artificial intelligence on medicine, as well as the formation of an international dialogue in a new reality.
Sergey Lukyanov, Rector of Pirogov University, made an introductory speech, emphasizing the significance of the event for Russian and world medicine.
"A unique event is taking place at the University today, which I probably can't remember its analogues. We are trying to look into the future, comprehend its challenges and offer answers to emerging questions today," said Sergey Lukyanov.
Denis Rebrikov, Vice-Rector for Research at Pirogov University, spoke about the genetic aspects of Human Enhancement, and Georgy Nadareishvili, First Vice-Rector of Pirogov University, emphasized the importance of discussing and forming rules for the use of new technologies so that they benefit all mankind.
Andrey Sushentsov, Dean of the MGIMO Faculty of International Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, gave a lecture on international relations at the Q&A session, and Denis Rebrikov, Vice—Rector for Research, spoke at the Let's talk event.
Throughout the conference, the participants were deeply immersed in the activities of the international organization. They discussed global health issues, developed joint strategies, participated in diplomatic debates and conducted negotiations. We also listened to lectures from leading experts, attended master classes and practiced interactive interaction formats.
The event ended with a solemn ceremony at which the participants received certificates and awards.
