As part of the Presidium, the conference was attended by:

— Rector of Pirogov University Sergey Lukyanov;

— Vladislava Belyakova, Vice-rector for Youth Policy at Pirogov University;

— Sergey Remizov, Chairman of the NGO "Trade Union of Healthcare Workers of the City of Moscow";

— Ekaterina Nikitina, Head of the General Department of the NGO "Trade Union of Healthcare Workers of the City of Moscow";

— Alexander Minorsky, Head of the Public Relations Department of the NGO "Trade Union of Healthcare Workers of the City of Moscow";

— Nikolay Ignatov, Chairman of the Trade Union Committee of Pirogov University staff.

Sergey Lukyanov, Rector of Pirogov University, addressed the participants with a welcoming speech:

"The work report clearly showed the wide range of activities of the Students' Trade Union Organization. It is especially pleasant to see that in this work there is already a high degree of self-organization and independent supervision of processes. The trade union organization helps the University to develop and move in the right direction. Her role is particularly important in difficult situations when it comes to protecting students' rights. That is why it is important to understand the basics of its work, the mechanism of decision-making and their legitimization, which at the right moment becomes a serious legal defense."

Sergey Remizov, Chairman of the Regional Public Organization "Professional Union of Healthcare Workers of Moscow", noted the contribution of student trade union activists and emphasized the importance of youth for the future of the industry:

"I would like to thank all the trade union activists from our country's leading medical research university. Your activity and contribution to trade union work are very significant for the development of the industry. Your experience gives you the opportunity to self-actualize, it should help in future medical practice. It is very important for us to develop students and young people, because you are the future of Russian healthcare. You are going through a very difficult path, and we are grateful to you for choosing this profession, people should understand the conscious membership in a trade union."

Vladislava Belyakova, Vice—rector for Youth Policy, drew attention to the fact that the trade union is a space for growth, responsibility and the first serious managerial steps:

"The trade union organization has always been the fulcrum from which student initiatives began. It was on its basis that many of the current student associations originated. The trade union is one of the most mature and independent communities, which not only supports student ideas, but also forms students' willingness to take responsibility for their implementation without fear of difficulties. This is an opportunity to prove yourself in a safe environment, gain practical experience and, based on it, set more and more ambitious goals for yourself."

One of the key events of the conference was the election of a new Trade Union Committee, from which a new leadership of the Primary Trade Union Organization was elected at the first meeting.

Maria Palkina, a fourth—year student at the Institute of Motherhood and Childhood, was elected the new chairman of our organization.

In addition, the decision of the conference changed the name of the Primary Trade Union Organization — now it is the Primary Trade Union Organization of students of Pirogov University.

We wish success in the work of the new chairman and the Trade Union Committee and would like to express our deep gratitude to the outgoing chairman, Alexander Kudryashov, for his hard work, commitment and the strong foundation that has been laid over the years!
