Solemn dedication to the students of medical classes: how Pirogov University opens doors to medicine for Moscow schoolchildren

The dedication ceremony became a real celebration for several hundred future doctors and researchers from the University's partner schools.

The program of the day was intense: after a warm welcome, the students immersed themselves in an interactive environment at the booth sites. The students were able to try themselves as surgeons on simulators, learn the basics of first aid, work with VR technologies, dental equipment and ultrasound machines. The central event was a panel discussion with experts, graduates and staff of Pirogov University, who once stood on the threshold of a medical career themselves.

The discussion was attended by: Alexander Gushchin, director of the Multi-Profile Accreditation and Simulation Center, graduate of Pirogov University; Ekaterina Ivanova, Deputy Director of the Tashkent branch of Pirogov University, graduate of the medical class and Pirogov University; Alla Bakeeva, head of the Department for Work with Applicants, as well as graduate students of medical classes.

The experts shared their personal experiences, answered the students' questions and emphasized the high importance of Pirogov University's cooperation with schools.

"The most valuable thing you have now is a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the student environment. Contact with the University begins at school, and this is very important," Ekaterina Ivanova noted.

lexander Gushchin shared how he was impressed by the special atmosphere of the University even at the admission stage, and also noted the role of internal motivation in choosing a profession: "You have to sort yourself out. You must have a firm belief that you like the direction you have chosen."

The discussion flowed smoothly into live communication: the students asked about the difficulties of adaptation in the first year, the possibilities of self-realization and the intricacies of the future profession. The meeting ended with a drawing of certificates for participation in master classes and career guidance projects at the University.

The highlight of the day was the dedication ceremony. Now the status of a medical student has been filled with a new meaning and has become the first step into the professional community of future colleagues.

This is how Pirogov University creates a continuous and supportive educational trajectory "school — university — profession". Such projects are a real investment in the future of Russian medicine, where the main values are continuity of tradition, knowledge and dedication to one's vocation.
