The event began with an interactive part: future doctors were able to attend nine fascinating master classes from representatives of the University's Student Scientific Society. The children tried to apply surgical nodes, mastered the basics of first aid, got acquainted with ophthalmoscopy, DNA sequencing, and even learned how to examine a newborn. "Animals in Jars" and a literary contest based on autopsy data added an element of intellectual play to the scientific program.
The head of the Department for Work with Applicants, Alla Bakeeva, addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.
The key moment was the panel discussion "The path to the profession: from school to the operating room." It was attended by: Alexander Gushchin, director of the Multi-profile Accreditation and Simulation Center of Pirogov University; Irina Bogacheva, director of MBOU Pushkino "Educational Complex No. 8"; Arkady Shakhramanov, graduate of MBOU "Educational Complex No. 8" and Pirogov University in 2025, a medical doctor, a district internist; Nael Kann, graduate of Pirogov University in 2024, resident physician, ophthalmologist.
During the discussion, the speakers shared their personal experiences, discussing the choice of path and the values of medicine. Alexander Gushchin, who tied his fate with the University 30 years ago, noted the special atmosphere of the University, where students grow not only as specialists, but also as individuals.
Arkady Shakhramanov and Nael Kannnoted that the experience of studying in a medical classroom and participating in university programs ("School of a young surgeon", "Steps") became an invaluable help for them when applying and studying. MBOU Pushkino "Educational Complex No. 8" has been cooperating with Pirogov University for more than thirty years. This partnership, which Director Irina Bogacheva called a "golden solution", allowed us to bring the quality of student education to a fundamentally new level.
The ceremony began with the presentation of letters of thanks to the principals, class teachers and curators. However, the rite of passage itself became her heart, when, in a solemn atmosphere, the students made an inner promise to follow their chosen path.
"You have become real medical class students! You are assuming the continuity of generations. We are glad that you have joined our large and growing team. Good day, friends!" — with these words, Alexander Gushchin concluded the solemn part.
The event was a vivid illustration of the current school—university continuing education system. By developing this model, Pirogov University helps talented and motivated students to confidently enter medicine.
