Unity in diversity: the power of Russia's ethnocultural heritage discussed at Pirogov University

National Unity Day is a holiday where history and modernity are intertwined, reminding of the power that is born when the hearts of different people beat in unison.

On the eve of this date, an ethnocultural lecture and Olympiad "Moscow is the capital of multinational Russia" were held at Pirogov University. The event became a real dialogue of cultures, allowing for a deeper understanding of the unique heritage of our Homeland.

With a lecture "The ethnocultural space of Russia: Why do they talk about unity in diversity?" Elena Omelchenko, Dean of the Faculty of Regional Studies and Ethnocultural Education of Moscow State University, spoke. Her speech revealed the depth and beauty of cultural diversity, which is not a dividing factor, but a source of our common strength.

After the lecture, students and teachers of the Department of Social Work of the IKPSR of Pirogov University took part in the ethnographic Olympiad, which became an exciting journey through the expanses and traditions of Russia.

Maria Chernysheva, Associate Professor of the Department of Social Work of the ICPSR, shared her impressions: "I was glad to see the interest and good knowledge of the students about the traditions and culture of the peoples of Russia. The questions of the Olympiad were very exciting, so I took part in it myself. Our country is admired not only for its vast expanses, but also for the amazing richness of its ethnocultural heritage! Introducing young people to it is a great contribution to patriotic education!"

Such events clearly demonstrate that the unity of the people is not just words. It is a living and continuous process that is based on mutual respect, interest in each other and pride in our common heritage.
