Youth policy in medical education: formulas for educating the modern generation of doctors

A large-scale All-Russian forum "Transformation of youth Policy in medical and pharmaceutical universities" has started at Pirogov University.

Pirogov University will bring together vice-rectors for youth policy, experts and leaders of student communities from all over Russia. An eventful program awaits the participants: lectures, master classes and discussions with the participation of leading industry experts.

Olga Tulupova, Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Education and Personnel Policy in Healthcare at the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, opened the forum with a welcoming speech.

The first Vice—rector, Vice-rector for Strategic Development of Pirogov University, Giorgi Nadareishvili, noted that youth policy deals with a particularly important age, when guidelines for the rest of life are being formed.:

"This is a matter of state priority — the formation of future generations. Educational work and youth policy are no longer a secondary focus — they are becoming a strategic task."

Vladislav Belyakova, Vice-rector for Youth Policy at Pirogov University, also spoke at the opening.

"Youth policy is a link between approaches and principles formed in the context of generational change. It is these factors that the University takes into account when working with young people," she stressed.

The main purpose of the forum is to discuss and further implement standards for the implementation of youth policy in universities. The participants will not only analyze the existing models of youth work, but also develop a number of recommendations for its further development.
