XV All-Russian “Mazurin Readings” successfully completed at Pirogov University

The XV All-Russian scientific and practical student conference with international participation “Mazurin Readings” was held at the Russian Children's Clinical Hospital - a branch of Pirogov University. The event, dedicated to the memory of the outstanding scientist and teacher, Professor Andrei Mazurin, Head of the Department of Propaedeutics of Pediatric Diseases, became a platform for the exchange of experience and knowledge among future pediatricians. The conference was organized by the Department of Propaedeutics of Pediatric Diseases and student scientific circle of the Institute of Maternity and Childhood.

Within the framework of the conference students of 3-6th courses of medical universities presented 16 reports demonstrating complex and interesting clinical cases from pediatric practice. The presentations covered a wide range of pathologies: from rare genetic diseases, such as Wilson-Konovalov disease and phenylketonuria, to complex inflammatory processes, such as Kawasaki disease and Kazabach-Merritt syndrome.

The evaluation of the participants' works was conducted by leading experts in the field of pediatrics, including Dr. Lidia Ilyenko, Director of the Institute of Maternity and Childhood, Dr. M.Sc., Professor, Olga Alekseeva, Associate Professor of the Department of Pediatric Diseases of the Russian University of Medical Sciences, Tatiana Vereshchagina, Associate Professor of the Department of Propaedeutics of Pediatric Diseases of the IMD, and Alexei Gureev, Associate Professor of the Department of Hospital Pediatrics No. 2 of the IMD, Professor of the Department of Neonatology of INOPR Maria Degtyareva, Associate Professor of the Department of Hospital Pediatrics named after Academician V.A. Tabolin IMD Tatiana Demyanova, Head of the Department of Traumatology and Orthopedics Alexander Evdokimov, Professor of the Department of Hospital Pediatrics named after Academician V.A.
