The conference was opened by the leader of the phthisiatric community Dr. Irina Vasilyeva. In her inspiring speech, she emphasized the importance of the event and the growing interest of young researchers in the fight against tuberculosis, noted the high level of scientific papers presented and the diversity of topics covering innovative diagnostic methods, breakthrough approaches in the treatment and prevention of the disease. Special attention was paid to international cooperation, which gives a powerful impetus to the development of Russian science.
This year's conference was marked by a record number of papers presented: 24 papers from students, 17 from residents, eight from young scientists, and six clinical cases. The geography of participants covered many Russian cities, including Novosibirsk, Voronezh, Volgograd, Samara and others, as well as representatives from the Belarusian State Medical University, S.D. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University and Grodno State Medical University. The jury and participants highly appreciated the scientific level of reports and the quality of presentations.
The conference became not only a platform for demonstrating scientific achievements, but also a space for honing skills of public speaking and exchange of ideas. The winners were determined in each section (students, residents, postgraduate students, young scientists) and in the section of clinical examples. The organizers expressed their confidence that the impeccable organization, friendly atmosphere and the highest level of discussions make this conference unique and the best of its kind and invited everyone to participate next year with new ideas, discoveries and victories.
