The "Universe" of vascular surgery: a series of lectures by a leading expert from Germany

Meetings were held at Pirogov University with Professor Alexander Kimkov, a practicing physician at St. Catherine's Hospital (Cologne, Germany).

During the presentations, key issues of cardiovascular surgery, including urgent and planned care, were discussed. The professor stressed that this industry is incredibly large and requires a comprehensive, interdisciplinary approach to patient treatment.

"Vascular surgery is a whole universe, and every problem in it is also a separate universe," said Alexander Vladimirovich.

In total, five lectures were given on key areas of cardiovascular surgery: peripheral atherosclerosis, acute limb ischemia, aortic aneurysm, carotid artery surgery, and vascular injury.

The speaker paid special attention to the prevention of cardiovascular diseases, the importance of early diagnosis and the well-coordinated work of specialists in various fields.

The event aroused great interest among students, residents and practitioners, facilitating the exchange of best practices and relevant knowledge. Such meetings make a significant contribution to the development of international cooperation and professional development of medical specialists.
