The II All-Russian Professional Olympiad for Students in Medical Psychology was held at Pirogov University

The event was organized by the Institute of Clinical Psychology and Social Work of Pirogov University. This is Russia's first professional Olympiad for students – clinical psychologists, which allows them to demonstrate their professional skills in real-life situations. The event brought together more than 350 people, and the in-person round was attended by 51 participants from 30 universities of Russia.

During three hours, the guys solved practical tasks in the main areas of medical psychologist's activity, such as neuropsychological, pathopsychological, expert, research and consulting. Then there was a project-strategy session in the form of development of a board game “Career of a Medical Psychologist”, as well as a fascinating master class.

Within the framework of the Olympiad there was a round table “Problems and prospects of training medical psychologists”, where the participants discussed the problems of training clinical psychologists and the possibilities of building educational trajectories. In the afternoon there was an excursion around the University and planting of apple trees, which symbolized the process of learning and getting fruits from the learning process. The trees were named after famous researchers of the brain and human psyche: Bluma Zeigarnik, Vladimir Bekhterev, Natalia Bekhtereva, George Buck. The event ended with the solemn awarding of the winners.

According to the results of the Olympiad, the winners' diplomas were awarded to representatives of Belgorod State National Research University, Southern Federal University and Pirogov University. In five nominations 17 participants from St. Petersburg, Ryazan, Kirov, Khabarovsk, Vladivostok, Chelyabinsk, Kursk, Samara, Smolensk, Dubna, Yaroslavl and Yakutsk were recognized.
