Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Mikhail Murashko addressed a welcoming speech to the participants of the conference and noted the level of medical skill of the hospital staff.

“This is a team that has high competencies in many areas of medicine, which allows to have a cardinal impact on the health of the population,” – emphasized Mikhail Murashko.

Rector of Pirogov University, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergey Lukyanov spoke about the important role of Pirogov University staff in the hospital's achievements: “I would like to note that these successes have always been based on the work of professors, leading specialists of our University”.

About the history of the hospital's foundation and its main achievements told the Head of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology named after Academician G.M. Savelyeva of the Institute of Maternity and Childhood of Pirogov University Dr. Mark Kurtser, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Head of the Department of Internal Medicine Propaedeutics No. 2 of the Institute of Clinical Medicine Dr. Elena Reznik presented a paper on modern algorithms for diagnosing rare pathologies of the cardiovascular system. Also the speaker of the conference was the Head of the Department of Hospital Surgery No. 2 of the Institute of Surgery, Dr. Sergey Shapovalyants. He made a report on modern technologies in the field of abdominal surgery.

Within the framework of the conference the experts not only paid tribute to the history of the City Clinical Hospital No. 31 named after Academician G.M. Savelyeva, but also exchanged experience and key practices in the topical areas of modern medicine.
