This year the competition united 16 teams of second to fifth year students from different institutes. Creative names – “Histologini”, “Teamocytes”, “Histohackers” and even “Gli and Me” – immediately set the atmosphere of creativity and excitement.

First, the participants solved problems in the individual round, and after a short break with the drawing of the textbook from sponsors (“Geotar-Media” and “Geotar-Digital”) the team stage began. Captains competed in a blitz-quiz, and then all together solved crosswords, rebuses and searched for histological associations in pictures. Especially memorable was the tournament where the teams had to identify the “extra” histological preparation at speed: not only knowledge, but also reaction speed was important here!

The winner was the team “Teamocytes”, in which the second-year students of the Faculty of Medicine (V.P. Bilei, M.A. Gasnikova, V.A. Popov, U.D. Emanova, K.S. Gevel) showed the highest result. K.S. Gevel, K.M. Okulova, V.A. Popov, V.P. Bilei and other participants distinguished themselves in individual competition.

The department thanks all those who helped to organize the Olympiad (volunteers, information support department, sponsors and, of course, the students themselves) for their enthusiasm and bright emotions! See you next year!
