As part of the Priority 2030 program, Pirogov University has launched Russia's first cross-university examination, initiated by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, which involves a mutual analysis of university activities. The expert assessment focused on three key strategic technological projects of the University — "Neurotrophy", "Gene Therapy" and "Immunomedicine".

Sergey Lukyanov, Rector of Pirogov University, noted that the combination of the work of scientists, doctors and young specialists creates a powerful potential for breakthrough research. As an example, he cited the Neurotrophy project, which develops drugs for the treatment of serious diseases.

"This revolutionary project is connected with the discovery of a new mechanism that plays a very important role in the lives of humans and other organisms and which will have a significant impact on the development of medicine in the future,"Sergey Lukyanov emphasized.

Denis Rebrikov, Vice-rector for Research, spoke about the Gene Therapy project. Dmitry Chudakov, Acting Director of the Translational Medicine Research Institute, presented the Immunomedicine project.

The first vice—rector, Vice-rector for Strategic Development, Giorgi Nadareishvili, in his report "The target model of the University", said that a modern university should form the unique qualities of students, preparing professionals of the future.

As part of the project work, the participants discussed the University's key challenges and ways to solve them. They worked on issues of technological leadership, identified gaps in the development program and the role of partners. Special attention was paid to the synergy between science and education, the integration of project activities and the creation of a flexible management system.

The first day of the examination turned out to be eventful and fruitful. The experts not only outlined the current difficulties, but also outlined concrete steps to improve development programs. Despite the intensive work, the process continues, and there is still more in-depth study of the proposed ideas and solutions.
