It was attended by activists from the medical squads of Pirogov University. This extracurricular activity unites students from different faculties and courses, who, getting work experience in summer, seriously think about their further specialization and scientific activity. From visiting the conference the representatives of the movement had the most pleasant impressions.
“I would like to note the professionalism of speakers, competent presentation of material and good organization of the event. I managed to attend all the presentations of interest,” shared Arina Mamikhina, a fifth-year student of the Institute of Dentistry of Pirogov University.
The students also liked the program of the event, extremely diverse and rich in lectures and master classes. “We attended several useful lectures in sections such as Endocrinology, Neurology, Psychology and Propedeutics of Internal Medicine. I especially liked the report on natural compounds from wormwood as a tool in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease,” said Ekaterina Zelenkina, a third-year student of the Institute of Clinical Medicine at Pirogov University.
According to the participants, the Pirogov Conference is a significant event in the life of students. For younger students it is an opportunity to try their hand at science, and for older students it is an opportunity to communicate with experienced doctors and see many interesting clinical cases.
“At the Pirogov Conference, I was struck by the reports that involved major research. When you see the burning eyes of the speakers, you get motivation to realize your path in science,” said Daria Fedorenko, a fifth-year student of the Institute of Maternity and Childhood at Pirogov University.
Representatives of the squads took part in a variety of medical directions. “Very much liked the reports in the sections “Pediatrics and Neonatology” and “Pediatric Surgery”. Speakers told about complex things in an accessible language, interested in their scientific direction. It was also interesting to visit the stands of the University's partners and receive nice gifts”, — emphasized Anastasia Kuznetsova, a student of the Institute of Maternity and Childhood of Pirogov University.
In summer, the participants of the Russian Student Squads travel to different regions of the country. Representatives of the medical direction of the Moscow student squads work in hospitals and get useful labor experience. This is a great opportunity to put into practice the knowledge acquired during the year and find inspiration for future scientific projects.
