Realistic scenarios and panic attacks: how the “ACTIO!” competition at Pirogov University was held

The All-Russian competition “ACTIO!” was organized by the Institute of Clinical Psychology and Social Work (ICPSW). The event gave students from all over Russia the opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge and skills in providing first aid and psychological support in extreme situations. The competition took place in the format of realistic scenarios simulating acute stress reactions, the work of a helpline and first aid.

Within the framework of “ACTIO!”, Vera Nikishina, Director of ICPSR, conducted a master class dedicated to working with a person in a panic attack. At the end of the competition, the jury, consisting of experts from the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Rosgvardia and other specialized organizations, determined the winners. First place went to the team “Catharsis” from Kirov State Medical University, second place to “Trilogy of the Mind” from Pacific State Medical University, and third place was shared by teams from Kursk and Saratov State Medical Universities, as well as the team “Sigismund's Companions” from Pacific State Medical University.

The “ACTIO!” competition united students from different regions, emphasizing the importance of interdisciplinary coordination and psychological resilience in risk professions. The organizers expressed their gratitude to the participants, experts, volunteers and theater students for their contribution to the success of the event.
