Professor Irina Vasilyeva was awarded the gratitude of the President of the Russian Federation for her contribution to the work of BRICS

The award was presented by Mikhail Murashko, Minister of Health of the Russian Federation, in recognition of her contribution to the preparation and holding of events that ensured Russia's successful representation in BRICS in 2024.

This award recognizes the expert contribution of the professor and her team to the development of international cooperation in the field of healthcare. Participation in BRICS events has helped strengthen Russia's position on the world stage, share experiences in the fight against socially significant diseases, including tuberculosis, and promote Russian initiatives in global health.

In October 2024, at the end of Russia's BRICS presidency, a declaration was signed confirming the commitment of the participating countries to strengthen multilateral cooperation. The active participation of Russian experts, including Irina Vasilyeva, made it possible to reflect Russia's priorities in the field of health and social development in this and other key documents.
