Pirogov University strengthens international cooperation with Latin American countries

Pirogov University took part in an extended meeting of the Russian Minister of Health with the heads of diplomatic missions of Latin American and Caribbean countries. The event took place at the National Medical Research Center of Radiology and became a platform for discussing the prospects of cooperation in the field of healthcare and exchange of experience.

The meeting included an exhibition where 17 leading scientific and educational institutions subordinate to the Russian Ministry of Health demonstrated their international projects and developments.

Pirogov University presented two innovative projects: a high-speed PCR-based rapid diagnostics device for infectious diseases based on “Indicator-Bio”, which is actively used in air ambulance, EMERCOM and military hospitals, and a portable DNA amplifier “ROST-7”, designed for individual use and capable of detecting a wide range of viruses, bacteria and fungi.

Participation in the event emphasizes the University's commitment to developing international cooperation and promoting advanced medical technologies.
