The best young scientists from 30 organizations of the country, who are members of the Council of Young Scientists of the Ministry of Health of Russia, were invited to the Strategic Session.
On March 21, Olga Yurievna Milushkina, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of Pirogov University, spoke at the opening of the Strategic Session, noting that the joint work of young scientists from all over the country allows to develop new solutions for the development of medical science.
The session program included a panel discussion “How the demand for entrepreneurial competencies in biomedicine and pharmacy has transformed”.
The panel discussion experts were:
- Vladimir Andrianov, Director of Partner Relations at R-Pharm JSC, Deputy Leader of the Healthnet working group of the National Technology Initiative (NTI);
- Maria Kareva, Director of the Clinical Research Department of the Moscow Center for Innovative Technologies in Healthcare;
- Anton Ostrovsky, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Public Health and Health Care at Russian State University of Social Technologies, member of the team of the intellectual search and investment attraction platform “VTECHNO.rf”;
- Natalia Prudova, Head of the group of professional orientation and practical training of the Personnel Training Department of R-Pharm JSC.
The discussion was moderated by Elena Maslyonkova, Chairman of the Council of Young Scientists of the Ministry of Health of Russia, an expert of the Federal Center for Support of Volunteerism and Mentoring in Health Care (FCVHC) of the Ministry of Health of Russia. The experts noted the key directions of transformation of the portfolio of competencies of researchers and developers in the field of biomedicine and pharmacy with a focus on the product approach, the tendency to strengthen the demand for specialists capable of effective communication with stakeholders. Speakers shared cases in the field of building a dialog between business and science, as well as in the field of launching educational projects to improve the competencies of young professionals.
On March 22, the teams of young scientists defended their project proposals. Representatives of industry, universities, heads of innovative projects and educational platforms in the field of technological entrepreneurship acted as experts. Dmitry Shagin, Vice-Rector for Innovation at Pirogov University, and Maxim Abakumov, Associate Professor at the Department of Medical Nanobiotechnology at Pirogov University, took part in the expert evaluation.
The directions of the project proposals of the teams of young scientists are:
- organization of a technology transfer system in the field of medicine, biomedicine, pharmacy;
- educational program for future technological entrepreneurs;
- a program to involve students of medical and pharmaceutical universities in the innovative environment;
- tools to support the process of generating technological ideas in the industry;
- synergy of the potential of medical research centers and business;
- communication space for developers and industrial partners.
The expert committee consisted of:
- Maxim Artyomovich Abakumov, Associate Professor of the Department of Medical Nanobiotechnology at Pirogov University, Head of the Laboratory “Biomedical Nanomaterials” at the National Research Technological University “MISIS”;
- Vladimir Andrianov, Director of Partner Relations at R-Pharm JSC, Deputy Leader of the STI Healthnet Working Group;
- Maria Galyamova, Head of the Infrastructure Center (IC) “Healthnet” NTI;
- Andrey Lomonosov, expert of R-Pharm JSC;
- Alexander Dormidontov, expert of the Healthnet Infrastructure Center, research analyst, coordinator of the GenerationS gas pedal;
- Ekaterina Morozova, Director of Skolkovo Open University;
- Alexander Morozov, Managing Partner of T2MT;
- Nikolay Suvorov, member of the AIPM working group on real clinical practice research, expert in organizing and conducting research;
- Dmitry A. Shagin, Vice-Rector for Innovation at Pirogov University.
Two days of intensive work allowed the teams to dive into the topic of development of innovative environment in educational and scientific organizations, analyze the existing tools for synchronizing the agenda of the scientific community and industry.
At the end of the session, the participants together with the experts determined the vector of further development of the proposed ideas. Already this year a number of pilot practices will be launched with their further performance analysis and selection of best practices that meet the industry demand.
The traditional Strategic Session of the Council of Young Scientists of the Russian Ministry of Health was held at Pirogov University with the expert support of the Infrastructure Center and the Healthnet Working Group of the National Technology Initiative, R-Pharm JSC, the Innovation Promotion Foundation, and the Federal Center for the Promotion of Innovation of the Russian Ministry of Health.
