Pirogov University hosted an open dialog “How to be Healthy” as part of the All-Russian campaign “Be Healthy!”

Rector of Pirogov University, Doctor of Biology, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Sergey Lukyanov opened the meeting by emphasizing the central role of prevention in modern society. Olga Milushkina, Pro-Rector for Academic Affairs of Pirogov University, Professor, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, emphasized to the audience the inextricable link between theoretical knowledge and its practical application in healthcare.

The speaker of the event was also Anna Babkina, chairperson of the “Volunteers-Medics” movement and oncologist.

During the meeting, the experts highlighted the key aspects that define the work of a modern doctor. According to experts, this list includes deep professional knowledge, the ability to communicate with patients, personal example of a healthy lifestyle and empathy. The listeners also learned about the need for continuous self-development and professional growth, which directly affects the creation of a favorable environment for patients. 

In conclusion, the meeting emphasized the ability to properly allocate time between work and rest. In addition, all participants of the dialogue wrote the All-Russian dictation on public health and dispensary.
