Pirogov University hosted a meeting within the framework of the project “Inspiring by the feat”

The speakers were Anton Gorokhov, head of the anesthesiology-resuscitation department of the Y.E. Veltishchev Research Institute of Pediatrics and Children's Surgery, assistant of the Department of Innovative Pediatrics and Children's Surgery, anesthesiologist-resuscitator, and Gohar Jivanshiryan, pediatrician of the Y.E. Veltishchev Research Institute of Pediatrics and Children's Surgery, assistant of the Department of Innovative Pediatrics and Children's Surgery.

The experts spoke about the practices and challenges they faced in their work, as well as the experience of providing medical care in the conditions of military operations. Special attention was paid to high stress resistance, readiness for self-sacrifice and ability to find an approach to each patient. The speakers emphasized that in such situations from the doctor is required not only professionalism, but also humanity, empathy, the ability to inspire hope. 

“If you have made a choice and decided to be a doctor no matter what, it is necessary to realize that there is no going back, we have closed that door and look only forward. There will be a lot of difficulties, obstacles, but in any situation you can find a way out. Never give in to fear and take a step forward again and again,” shared Gohar Jivanshiryan.
