Pirogov University held a training event on first aid at the Bolshoi Moscow State Circus on Vernadsky Avenue before the team's trip to Donetsk

On April 27, the long-awaited tour of the Great Moscow State Circus on Vernadsky Avenue began in Donetsk in the Circus “Cosmos”. The collective presented a new show “I100RIA”, timed to the centenary of the signing by Vladimir Lenin of the decree on circus business.

Before the trip, the staff of the Department of Traumatology, Orthopedics and Military Field Surgery of the Institute of Surgery of Pirogov University held a master class for the artists on tactical medicine and actions in emergency situations.

Nikolay Kondyrev, assistant of the Department of Traumatology, Orthopedics and Military Field Surgery of the Institute of Surgery of Pirogov University, covered in detail the issues of first aid for various injuries, including bleeding and limb injuries.

The specialist spoke about the basics of first aid, and also showed the participants how to bandage and splint, which is an important skill for everyone - regardless of profession.

Andrei Kots, a war correspondent, spoke about his experience of working in the war zone. The journalist shared stories from real practice, which prove how important it is to have knowledge of medicine and first aid.

Such skills are useful not only in emergency conditions, but also in everyday life. Each of us may face a situation when we need to react quickly and act in an emergency.
