Pirogov University has completed the series of meetings “Inspiring by the feat”

On May 15, the series of meetings of the project “Inspiring by a feat” came to an end this academic semester. The guests of these meetings were two doctors whose work is an example of courage and dedication: Vasily Gladilin, an ophthalmologist at the Russian Children's Hospital - a branch of Pirogov University, and Danko Sinitsyn, an orthodontist in maxillofacial surgery at the Russian Children's Hospital - a branch of Pirogov University. Both specialists shared their unique stories and experience of working in emergency conditions.

Vasily Gladilin told about his work in Mariupol after the active combat operations, where he headed a group for the dispensary of the child population, identifying pathologies that arose as a result of the events. Danko Sinitsyn described his activities in collecting humanitarian aid worth 1.5 million rubles, which he personally delivered to Mariupol. He noted that the destruction he saw made a much stronger impression on him than photos and videos on the Internet, and emphasized the importance of being ready to help in any conditions.

Both doctors were awarded for their significant contribution to medicine and assistance to the population: Vasily Gladilin was awarded the medal of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland” II degree, and Danko Sinitsyn was honored with the medal of Luke of Crimea.
