Pirogov University discussed burnout – the main stress factor of modern society

The seminar “Burnout: the silent crisis of a generation” was organized with the support of the Ontology Laboratory. 

 

The speaker was Vladislav Sotnikov, Candidate of Psychology, Associate Professor, Head of the Department of General Psychology and Developmental Psychology of the Institute of Clinical Psychology and Social Work of Pirogov University.

The expert told what burnout is and how it differs from similar conditions. He also described the main causes of burnout and its impact on productivity and quality of life of young professionals.

The participants of the meeting learned how to prevent emotional exhaustion, maintain motivation and labor efficiency in order to become a successful specialist. The lecturer presented practical methods of self-diagnosis and stress management, emphasizing the importance of a conscious approach to career development and personal responsibility of each employee.

The seminar aroused keen interest of the audience and ended with a discussion of possible ways to overcome the crisis of professional burnout of the new generation.
