The anniversary conference “Women's Health: From the Past to the Future”, dedicated to the 110th anniversary of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology (Faculty of General Medicine), was held on November 7 at the University.

Professor Yulia Dobrokhotova, head of the department, spoke about the department history, as well as about an important aspect of the continuity of generations: “Professor Pobedinsky and his students created this department 110 years ago and were the founders of many areas in obstetrics and gynecology - we see their names in textbooks today. Many of them worked at our department. We are proud that we are working here, and we are trying to observe the traditions that our teachers raised in us. ”

State Duma deputy, member of the Health Protection Committee Tatyana Tsybizova handed to the staff of the Department letters of thanks of the State Duma for many years of dedicated work and high professionalism. “The letter of thanks focuses more on the provision of medical care, rather than on scientific achievements, because the deputies of the State Duma speak, first of all, on behalf of voters: in particular, on behalf of all residents of Moscow and the Moscow region, as well as residents of those areas in which your graduates work, ” - she emphasized, handing letters.

Gratitude letters from the State Duma were received to Professor Yulia Dobrokhotova, Professor Asiyat Khashukoeva, Professor Lyudmila Ozolinya, Professor Irina Bakhareva, and Professor Svetlana Kerrylina.

At the conference "Women's Health: From the Past to the Future", a round table was held at which specialists in the field of obstetrics and gynecology raised urgent problems of preterm birth. In total, about 20 reports were prepared from leading experts of the department and large medical institutions.
