Neurosurgeons of Pirogov University spoke at the All-Russian Neurosurgical Forum

Staff of the Department of Fundamental Neurosurgery of the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University took part in the All-Russian Neurosurgical Forum, held in Moscow on June 18-20. The President of the Forum was Acting Head of the Department of Fundamental Neurosurgery, MD, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Krylov. The conference was attended by almost 500 specialists from 58 Russian cities.

The conference format included educational schools, breakout sessions, round tables, plenary sessions, symposiums, and discussion clubs. I. O., Head of the Department of Fundamental Neurosurgery, MD, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences Vladimir Krylov moderated several events, including the symposium "Diagnosis and treatment of normotensive hydrocephalus: reality and prospects" and the round table "Surgery of temporal lobe epilepsy".

The staff of the department (MD, Associate Professor, Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences Andrey Grin, MD, Professor Alexander Prirodov, MD, Professor, Alexander Talypov, MD, Professor, Viktor Lukyanchikov, MD, Associate Professor, Natalia Polunina, PhD, Associate Professor Taras Shatokhin) spoke with reports on various aspects of the treatment of injuries and diseases of the central nervous system

Also, the staff of the Department, Doctor of Medicine, Professor Viktor Lukyanchikov and Doctor of Medicine, Associate Professor Natalia Polunina were awarded Commemorative Medals named after F.A. Serbinenko, which was established by the Association of Neurosurgeons of Russia for their services in vascular neurosurgery.
