In his opening remarks, the head of the Department, Doctor of Medicine, Professor Ivan Gordeev noted that thromboembolism is one of the most serious and severe diseases in medical practice due to the increased frequency of fatal complications.
The analysis was conducted by Ksenia Komissarova, an assistant of the department, PhD. She showed by a concrete example how effective interaction of doctors of different specialties (cardioreanimatologist, neurosurgeon, vascular surgeon, radiologist) in a multidisciplinary hospital led to a successful result. A multicomponent approach to diagnosis and treatment, including ultrasound, computed tomography, echocardiography, and laboratory tests, made it possible to quickly prescribe optimal therapy to a patient with severe complications.
The review was followed by presentations by experts who shared their opinions and experience in the field of diagnosis and treatment of PE. They stressed that it was the joint efforts and the use of modern technologies that helped not only to stabilize the patient's condition, but also to avoid serious consequences.
In conclusion, the experts called on their colleagues to pay more attention to the early diagnosis and comprehensive treatment of PE, which significantly improves the prognosis for patients.
