Immunological aspects of childhood: a lecture from the Pediatrics and Perinatology series was held at Pirogov University

The speaker was Leila Namazova-Baranova, an outstanding expert in the field of clinical allergology and immunology, Head of the Department of Pediatrics at the Institute of Maternity and Childhood of Pirogov University, Honored Scientist of the Russian Federation, Commander of the Order “For Merit to the Fatherland” IV degree, President of the Union of Pediatricians of Russia, Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Leila Namazova-Baranova shared her profound knowledge and practical experience in the field of clinical allergology and immunology, spoke about the history and key stages of development of this field of medicine, as well as what methods of modern diagnosis and treatment are used by practicing physicians and researchers.

 The participants learned about the peculiarities of human immunity development from the moment of intrauterine development to adulthood, as well as the leading factors of immune inflammation and modern approaches to diagnosis and treatment of diseases involving the immune mechanism.

 Leyla Namazova-Baranova noted that the causes of all diseases lie in the early period of human life, so prevention and vaccination play a huge role in their prevention.

 The meeting became a platform for sharing experience and expanding the horizons of students, residents and doctors involved in the health of the younger generation.
