III National (with international participation) Scientific and Practical Student Olympiad in General Psychology: from the history of science to modern technologies

On April 25, the III National (with international participation) Scientific and Practical Student Olympiad in General Psychology was held on the basis of the Department of General Psychology and Developmental Psychology of ICPSR.

This year 112 people from different cities and countries took part in the Olympiad, and 76 people attended the face-to-face stage.

The participants of the Olympiad demonstrated deep knowledge of general psychology - a fundamental discipline for psychology students. The jury members noted the high level of answers.

At the closing ceremony Vera Erokhina, Associate Professor of the Department of General Psychology and Developmental Psychology of ICPSR, Scientific Director of the SNK of General Psychology and Developmental Psychology of ICPSR, Candidate of Psychological Sciences, addressed the participants and spoke about the importance of the Olympiad in general psychology.

It is very important to understand that general psychology is a fundamental discipline on which all other psychological subjects are based,” Vera Erokhina emphasized.

Winners of the Olympiad:

— First degree diploma – Elena Kristeva (RyazSMU of the Ministry of Health of Russia);
— Diploma of II degree – Elizaveta Loginova (RyazSMU of the Ministry of Health of Russia);
— Diploma of III degree – Varvara Kudelich (Pirogov University).

Within the framework of the Olympiad the participants were offered two exciting master classes: a master class on art therapy (led by Irina Iziumova) and a master class on apparatus methods “Eyes are the mirror of the soul” (led by Ekaterina Shagina).

We would like to thank all the teachers and students who helped with the organization and holding of the Olympiad, as well as the participants of the Olympiad who found time to visit our event.
