How do representatives of Moscow student groups help in the development of donation in Russia?

A round table dedicated to the development of the donor movement in Russia was held in the State Duma. Among the participants are representatives of Russian student groups, including activists from Pirogov University. Why is this important? Because it is young people, especially future doctors, who can change society's attitude towards donation.

Deputy Minister of Health of the Russian Federation Andrey Plutnitsky cited impressive statistics: in 2024, 2.8 million liters of blood were harvested in Russia, and 92% of donations were free of charge. This is the result of the work of thousands of people, including volunteers and organizers of donor campaigns.

The students of Pirogov University did not stay away — they helped organize the event, coordinating more than 200 guests. Sofya Sadkovskaya, a member of the Gera medical team, shared:

"I regularly participate in donation campaigns at our University and I believe that in the absence of contraindications, blood donation is a civic duty. In my opinion, the results of the development of donation in our country are already impressive, and then — more!"

Becoming a donor is simple, safe, and noble. It's also a real chance to save someone's life. The round table proved that the future of Russian donation is in safe hands.
