Meeting was organized as part of the Year of the Teacher and Mentor by Anna Lantseva, Associate Professor of the Department of Latin Language and the Basics of Terminology of the Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, on the basis of the Center for Slavic Cultures.
The event was attended by well-known slavists of Russia Olga Saprikina and Tatyana Strokovskaya, who spoke about the historical and cultural significance of Great Moravia, the importance of the missionary feat of the holy Thessalonica brothers Cyril and Methodius, as well as their students, who continued the work of their great mentors in enlightening the Slavs in the Balkans (Bulgaria and modern Macedonia).
Particular attention was paid to the labors and deeds of St. Naum of Ohrid, who created a monastery in Ohrid and founded his own school.
The audience was offered to take part in a musical experiment and try to perform the chants of the Bulgarian-Macedonian area.
