Duration of terms of temporary stay, temporary or permanent residence of foreign citizens and stateless persons

In accordance with the Presidential Decree "On temporary measures to resolve the legal status of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation in connection with the threat of the further spread of the new Coronavirus infection (COVID-19)" № 274 of April 18, 2020 the duration of terms of temporary stay, temporary or permanent residence of foreign citizens and stateless persons in the Russian Federation is suspended from March 15, 2020 to June 15, 2020 inclusive, if such terms expire in the specified period.

Thus, if your term of temporary stay, temporary or permanent residence in the Russian Federation expires between March 15, 2020 and June 15, 2020 inclusive, you will not be subject to administrative measures for violation of migration laws.

From June 16, 2020, you can extend the period of temporary stay, temporary or permanent residence in the Russian Federation in the established manner.
