Diagnosis? Communication! How Pirogov University trains doctors of a new level

Students of 3-5 courses at the Institute of World Medicine of Pirogov University were able to pump up their skills in communicating with patients in Russian.

The ability to take a proper history and explain yourself to a patient is a key skill for any doctor. In this project the guys did not just learn the theory, but practiced everything in realistic medical scenarios!

Dmitry Polyakov, Acting Director of the IMM Institute, made a welcoming speech. He noted how important it is for future doctors to have a good command of the Russian language - the quality of communication with patients depends on it.

Students analyzed clinical cases, communicated with “patients” and learned to make decisions in conditions that are as close to reality as possible. This format makes training not only useful, but also really exciting!
