Character: innate or acquired?

Pirogov University hosted a real intellectual show — the History of Psychology in Faces competition from the Institute of Clinical Psychology and Social Work.

Students traveled back in time and staged mono-performances, reincarnating themselves as legendary personalities: Alfred Adler, Aaron Beck, Hans Eysenck, Vladimir Bekhterev and Lidia Bozhovich. Each revealed their arguments in a monologue: what shapes character — genes or environment? Emotions, arguments, charisma — as if the classics themselves came on stage!

The participants demonstrated commitment to their ideas and ardor in defending them. The jury noted the depth, originality and expression of the speakers. To breathe life into a theory in this way is a talent!

The arguments in the arena subsided, but not in the minds of the audience. Everyone remained in their own opinion and in a good mood. Congratulations to the winners and thank you to the participants — you have made science truly exciting.
