Pirogov University will host an action to join the Federal Register of Bone Marrow Donors, timed to coincide with National Unity Day.
About 2,000 people in Russia need a transplant every year. For many, this is the last hope. Someone has been waiting for their donor for months, and someone still does not have time to wait for him.
Becoming a potential donor is easier than it seems:
- you are between 18 and 45 years old, you are a citizen of the Russian Federation, you have no medical contraindications;
- the procedure takes only 10 minutes.;
- you just need to fill out the documents and donate one tube of blood (four to five milliliters) for analysis.
Your data will be entered into the database. If one day they call you and tell you about a match, most likely, you are the only compatible donor for the patient and can give him a chance at life. The probability of such a coincidence is 1 in 10,000, and each of them is a real miracle.
When? November 8th and 9th from 10:00 to 19:00.
Where? Ostrovityanova St., 1, building 1 (E.M. Kogan Central Research Institute).
Important: you must first register using the link. Don't forget to bring your passport!
