Dentistry has been taught at the university since 1922. Since that time, the university has developed one of the leading scientific fields in Russia, founded by professor Gilaria-Izdislav Wilga. In 2008, a separate dental faculty was established in the structure of the University.

School of Dentistry of the Pirogov Medical University conducts  education on full-time 5-years program “Dentistry” to reach Specialty Degree.

There are several residency programs for graduates, including “Conservative Dentistry”, “Dental Surgery”, “Prosthetic Dentistry”, “Pediatric Dentistry”, “Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery”, “Orthodontics”.

The School of Dentistry is equipped with modern phantom classes that mimic the real workplace of the dentist. Each workplace is equipped with a phantom table, phantom head, dental tips, lamps, a dental pedal, dental lights for treatment, all the tools and consumables. The School has a dental clinic on campus, where students receive patients under the guidance of university professors. A number of University clinics in Moscow dental centers have also been opened, which allows us to train students in a high professional level.
