The medical profession is one of the noblest and most vital professions on Earth. The study of the program of specialty "General Medicine" is the first stage of formation in the profession. For six years future doctors study fundamental and clinical medical disciplines as well as humanities and natural sciences. They learn how to diagnose various diseases, provide timely planned and emergency medical care, implement rehabilitation and preventive measures, conduct educational work among the population.
Practices
After the 1st course – Assistant of nurses;
After the 2nd course – Assistant of a ward nurse;
After the 3rd course – Assistant of a procedural nurse;
After the 4th course – Doctor's assistant;
After the 5th course – Professional skills of a physician outpatient clinics, including skills research.
The graduate who has mastered this educational program and hastily passed the state final certification, is awarded the qualification of "General practitioner" in the specialty 31.05.01 “General medicine”.
To obtain the right to engage in medical activities, the Graduate must undergo the procedure of primary accreditation. He/she may continue his/her training in clinical residency programs to receive medical specialization.
Applicants (citizens of Russia) enrolled in the first year of specialty degree can participate in the competition for training under the double degree program with the University of Milan.
Young specialists are highly sought in polyclinics, ambulance and emergency stations, hospitals and private clinics, sanatoriums, dispensaries, hospitals, social security institutions, etc. The doctor has ample opportunities for career growth as head of the Department, chief physician. If desired, the doctor may engage in private practice.
Graduates can also engage in scientific activities, enter graduate school, become PhD, and teaching at the medical university.
