The development of medicine and technology is occurring rapidly. All spheres of medicine use medical devices that always require service, repair and modernisation. Engineer with specialised education in medical instrumentation is a unique specialist with knowledge of both the principles of construction and operation of medical devices, digital processing of medical signals and data, as well as mandatory basics of anatomy, physiology, medical and biological physics. Engineer of medical instrumentation is able to solve any type of professional tasks: theoretical calculations, creation of models and drawings, development of medical equipment, programming, adjustment, repair and automation of devices.

In accordance with the curriculum, students are sent for practical training each semester (design, research, technological and pre-diploma work) in organisations whose activities correspond to the professional competences, mastered within the educational program.

On request, it is possible to individually attach students to their chosen profile organisations, which guarantee required conditions for solving the practical training tasks.

Students who combine the educational process with labour activity have the right to undergo practice at the place of employment, if the professional activity meets the requirements for the practice content.
