On the path to leadership: Pirogov University has set a vector for the development of residency

Olga Prirodova, Vice-Rector for Postgraduate and Continuing Education, and Marina Khoreva, Director of the Department of Higher Education Training, successfully conducted a project session at Pirogov University for those responsible for working with residents. During the meeting, the leading teachers discussed key aspects and current trends of residency programs in various clinical specialties.

 

The participants of the event formulated their vision of an ideal residency program, emphasizing the need for an integrated approach to training young doctors. Aspects such as the introduction of new teaching methods, the improvement of clinical skills and the integration of interdisciplinary knowledge were considered.

The main conclusions:

  • the need to expand the network of clinical bases and strengthen partnerships with leading medical organizations;
  • the importance of introducing interactive teaching methods and the use of modern simulation technologies;
  • the relevance of regular professional development of teachers and updating their professional competencies.

The project session became an important stage in shaping future residency programs. Their goal is to train competitive leading specialists with expertise to solve complex clinical problems.
