Academic mobility and exchange programmes

Dear students,
Due to the fact that the epidemiological situation associated with the spread of coronavirus in the world has not fully stabilized, the programs of academic mobility of students at Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University are temporarily at the stage of coordination and clarification of conditions of participation. You can check current information about academic mobility programs on this page as well as on the University information boards.

How to get involved

To participate in academic exchange programmes, we invite students of 2-6 courses that meet the following requirements:

  • students with average score - not lower than 4.0;
  • students who actively participate in the public and academic activities of the University;
  • students who speak a foreign language (English or the language of the country of academic exchange program at a level sufficient for internships and for communication in everyday life);
  • students who have the opportunity during the period July-August to provide assistance in accompanying, if necessary, foreign students arriving from foreign universities for academic exchange programs in the University (meeting/transfer to the airport, assistance in accommodation in the dormitory of Pirogov Russian National Research Medical University, support to the practice base, assistance in carrying out the cultural program).

For some exchange programmes (CIS countries), knowledge of a foreign language is not required. For some exchange programmes, applicants should pass an English proficiency test.

Algorithm for testing foreign language skills for participation in the international exchange programmes

The academic mobility group informs students about the date, time and location of testing for international exchange programmes by e-mail or telephone and by placing information on the academic mobility group page on the official University website.

Students invited for testing should come at the appointed time to the specified classroom. During testing in the classroom, students sit one by one at separate tables. Students complete a written assignment on paper (answers to the test and essay) and undergo computer testing. Computer testing is performed in several stages (recording, listening). Students will receive test results via email. The results will be also published on the academic mobility page on the official website of the University.

Students wishing to participate in exchange programmes must submit an application to the academic mobility group of the international faculty (1, Ostrovityanova str., 4th floor, office 416, t. 8-495-434 - 30-74, e-mail: interdep@rsmu.ru) from February 1 to March 1.
