The university was founded in 1933. Until 2005, he specialized only in the teaching of medicine, but later became multi-disciplinary in the framework of the Brazilian Federal University Reform program.

Grodno State Medical University is a historical successor of the Grodno Medical Academy (1775-1781). On August 9, 1958, by the decision of the Council of Ministers of the BSSR, it was decided to open the Grodno Medical Institute. Initially, there was only medical faculty. Later, in 1970, the preparatory department was opened, in 1979 - the pediatric faculty. In 2000, GrGMI was granted university status.

The Bukhara State Medical Institute was organized in October 1990 by order of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan. By a decree of the Presidium of the Regional Council of People’s Deputies of the Bukhara Region in March 1991, the institute was named after Abu Ali ibn Sino (Avicenna). One of the leading higher medical educational institutions of Uzbekistan and Central Asia.

The University was opened on 1 November 1934 as a hospital-medical university.

Vitebsk state Order of People’s Friendship medical university is one of the biggest higher education institutions in the Republic of Belarus. Nowadays more than 6000 students and listeners are studying in this University.

The University has: the VSMU clinic, the clinic of the Faculty of Dentistry, 2 drugstores, control-analytic laboratory.

The University supports and develops versatile contacts in the sphere of medical education and personnel training, scientific researches and information support with the number of major institutions of Russia, CIS and the foreign countries.

On 6 September 1953 in Semipalatinsk on the basis of the Resolution of the Council of Ministers of the USSR and the Order of the Ministry of health of the USSR the Semipalatinsk medical university was opened.

The University has its own clinical base and the branch in Pavlodar. More than 3900 students from all regions of Kazakhstan, neighbouring and foreign countries study on 8 faculties, and also more than 2000 doctors raise their qualifications.

The University teaches its future specialists in Kazakh, Russian and English in the specialties of: baccalaureate – “Nursing care”, “General medicine”, “Public health”, “Stomatology”, “Pharmacy”; internships; master course – “Public health” and “Medicine”, doctoral PhD – “Medicine”.

The decree on the opening of the University was issued on 26 October 1964 by the Council of Ministers of the Kazakh SSR.

In total from 1997 to 2001 on the basis of the University 10 branches of the scientific centres and scientific research institutes were opened. Among them are the branch of the Scientific research institute ща cardiology, the branch of the Tuberculosis scientific research institute and the branch of the Scientific centre of the problems of the healthy lifestyle forming of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Haiphong University of Medicine and Pharmacy is a research and training centre of medicine and pharmacy science, transferring reputable technology domestically and internationally and providing high-quality medical human resources to meet the demand of people healthcare and protection, especially medical major of sea-island.

Haiphong University of Medicine and Pharmacy currently has more than 700 staffs and lecturers, in which 500 permanent staffs in university and 200 staffs in hospitals, including 7 Professors; 28 Associate Professors; 77 PhDs, 180 Masters, 65 specialist II doctors, or equivalent, and 285 concurrent post lecturers at main practice facilities.

The annual number of new entrants to the university is 950 undergraduate and 300 postgraduate students.

Tashkent Pediatric Medical Institute (TashPMI) was opened in 1972. It is the main institution of the republic for the training of pediatric doctors (pediatricians). There are four faculties in the institute: pediatric; general medicine; medical and pedagogical; nurse with higher education. Over the years, more than 25,000 people graduated. Currently, more than 4,000 students study at the institute, including international students. Training of specialists is carried out in 26 areas of the magistracy and 23 areas of clinical residency. Research and educational work is carried out at the clinic at the institute, as well as in scientific and practical centers of Tashkent.
In 2015, a children's heart surgery center was created on the basis of TashPMI. Cardiocenter is the leading in its direction in Central Asia. Surgeons provide cardiac surgery for children with congenital heart defects.

The oldest medical institution in Central Asia, which performs qualitative training of medical personnel of the highest qualification. The institute is located in the most beautiful Samarkand city, which for centuries was a center of scientific thought and outstanding culture. The history of the Samarkand State Medical Institute dates back to May 1930, when the Uzbek State Medical Institute was founded by Resolution No. 80 of the Council of Folk's Commissars of Uzbekistan of May 7. Over 40,000 certified specialists was trained and graduated during the years of the Institute's activity.

One of the largest universities in Uzbekistan and Central Asia. UrSU have 11 faculties, there are 36 departments in these faculties. UrSU actively participating in CBHE of Erasmus + such as ECCUM, RENES, GREB, CLASS, EPCA, and International projects IRES (international Research Experience of Students) funded by National Science Foundation of the USA, English for STEM funded by US State Department, SUMRICA (Sustainable Mobility Research in Central Asia) funded by Volkswagen program and Erasmus +ICM projects with the different universities.

Andijan State Medical Institute was established in 1955. Today, the institute prepares students at the Therapeutic, Pediatric, and Dental faculties, Advanced Training and Retraining of Physicians in directions professional education, high qualified nurses, preventive medicine, pharmacy, as well as in 29 specialties of Master’s degrees program . In particular, courses for advanced training of doctors in all areas of the valley were organized at the faculty of advanced training and retraining of physicians.

One of Uzbekistan's oldest and largest classical universities. It is a major teaching and research complex for the vocational training, retraining and further training of specialists with a medical education, as well as academics with higher qualifications. The Academy also conducts scientific research and provides specialized medical assistance to the population. The Academy heads the educational and methodological association of medical and pharmacological institutions of higher education in Uzbekistan.

The only institute in the republic dealing with the problems of postgraduate education of doctors was founded in 1932 with the aim of improving the knowledge and practical skills of doctors in Uzbekistan and all of Central Asia.

Established in 2014 to train highly qualified personnel in the field of dentistry. The Institute is engaged in scientific and practical research and development in dentistry, oral surgery and other fields, including the leading advances in biotechnology, mobile and regenerative medicine. The Center is the head institution of the pediatric service of the Republic. The directions of the Center's activity are rendering specialized care to the pediatric population of the Republic, conducting scientific research in the field of pediatrics, organizational and methodological work to improve the quality of medical care to the pediatric population at all levels of its provision. TUMS is the oldest, most renowned medical center in Iran. Tianjin Medical University is a public university founded in 1951. Since 1981, it has been authorized to award doctoral degrees in medicine. It is also part of the respected "Project 211" program.
The university includes nine research institutes, one key ministerial-level laboratory, and nine pharmacology centers.

The Center for Advanced Technologies carries out research in physics and nanomaterials, biotechnology, biophysics, biochemistry, human genetics, cell and tissue engineering, geophysics and nanomineralogy.
According to the results of scientific projects more than 100 foreign scientific articles were published, 37 of which are included in international citation lists (including in such leading scientific journals as Nature, Nature communications, Scientific reports), currently the Center is the leader in the whole country by the number of publications in Nature – 6 articles, also 9 educational editions and monographs were published.
In April 2020, the genetic sequence of the genome of coronavirus distributed in Uzbekistan was studied for the first time and entered into the international database.

The Crimean Federal University named after V.I. Vernadsky is the largest institution of higher education. V.I. Vernadsky Crimean Federal University is the largest institution of higher education, one of the ten federal universities of the Russian Federation, provides training in a wide range of areas of training: humanities, natural sciences, information, medicine, agriculture, economics, and law.
Students are trained in teaching and research laboratories of the departments, in specialized classrooms, computer classes, language laboratories, multimedia studios, teaching farms, fields of educational farms and base enterprises.

The project involves training specialists in "Medical Business" on the basis of network cooperation between MGIMO-MED, MGIMO (Odintsovo campus), the Group of companies "Mother and Child", and a number of medical and research institutions of the health system of Moscow and the Moscow region. The Soroka University Medical Center is the № 1 medical center in the southern region, known far beyond the borders of Israel for over 60 years. Each year, over 50,000 international patients from all over the world come to the Center for treatment. The Soroka Medical Center is accredited by the Joint Commission International (JCI), which attests to its "gold standard" quality of care.

Kazakh-Russian Medical University is one of the largest private universities in the country, has passed the state certification five times and issues a state-issued diploma. The educational program of the university fully meets the state standard of education.  At the same time, the University has successfully tested new forms and methods of study aimed at improving higher medical education in the Republic. International Hoca Ahmet Yesevi Turkish-Kazakh University founded in 1991 on the personal initiative of the Head of State N.A. Nazarbayev and on the basis of the Intergovernmental Agreement between Kazakhstan and Turkey in order to train modern highly qualified specialists from the youth of Turkic-speaking countries, is located in the spiritual center of the Turkic world – Turkestan and is the first university to receive the status of an international institution of higher education. Education is conducted in Kazakh, Turkish, Russian and English languages. Since 1992, the University has started training medical specialists within the framework of higher and postgraduate education and has the international category of universities "full university".

Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University (KRSU) established in 1993. The Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Forensic Medical Examination includes the following expert divisions:  Department of organizational-methodical and quality management, Department of Complex Forensic Examinations, Department of Medical Forensics, Department of forensic histology, Forensic Chemistry Department, Department of Forensic Biological Expertise.

The history of the West Kazakhstan Marat Ospanov Medical University (hereinafter –WKMOMU) began in 1957. The university has 5 educational and laboratory buildings, 5 student dormitories with 2100 places, «A. Doszhanova Conference Hall» with 700 seats, a modern scientific library. The University has 47 departments, including the military department; own clinics: Medical Center and Family Medicine Clinic with a Dental Clinic; a center for practical skills with the implementation of simulation training, a center for professional growth with the implementation of additional professional education, a scientific and practical center with scientific laboratories and a vivarium, a center for improving nursing, a center for teaching excellence. For the 2023-2024 academic years, WKMOMU implements 79 educational programs in all areas of training: 17 undergraduate programs; 46 EP residency; 13 EP master’s programs and 3 EP PhD doctoral studies.

The State Educational Institution “Institute of Advanced Training and Retraining of Personnel of the State Forensic Expertise Committee of the Belarus Republic” is an institution of additional education. The main purpose of the Institute's activity is to meet the needs of the State Forensic Expertise Committee of the Belarus Republic in highly qualified personnel, scientific-pedagogical and scientific personnel of higher qualification.

Hanoi Medical University is the second oldest university in Vietnam.

Tashkent Institute of Pharmacy is a modern higher education institution that prepares highly qualified personnel in the field of pharmacy, relying on the high scientific potential of the teaching staff with strong international cooperation. Transnistrian State University named after T.G. Shevchenko is a classical university of research type with a three-level education system, the main vector of which is educational, research and innovation activity.
The University consists of 8 faculties, including medical faculty and faculty of pedagogy and psychology.
